Tapout will be on hand this coming Saturday at the Plymouth Memorial Hall in Plymouth, Massachusetts. The trio will be there to get a first hand look at Reality Fighting’s Welterweight champion Mike Campbell as he takes on challenger Tim Pinney. Campbell is currently 4-0 and will no doubt be in a major organization in no time. Pinney on the other hand is 1-1 and has the unenviable task of taking on the champ. Although, if Pinney should pull off the upset, it will certainly mean great things for his career.
If you happen to live in the Boston area, I recommend getting to this event. I was fortunate enough to get to the show they did this past spring and the fights were great. Kip Kollar and the guys at Reality Fighting put on a top-notch show. The local MMA scene is starting to really take off and some of the top names will be on this card. In addition too Campbell and Pinney, you’ll get to see New England heavyweight champ Eric Foley take on Christian Morecraft. I saw Morecraft at a recent fight (of which he won easily) and this kid really likes to play to the crowd. It should be a very exciting fight. Mike Gresh (1-1) will battle Brian Conrad (3-1). Don’t let Gresh’s gray hair fool you, this guy is very tough and Conrad will have his hands full. Greg Rebello (3-0) goes up against Eric Brown (4-4). Brown has the experience but Rebello has been on a roll.
There are many more fights on this card, it’s just a shame it happens to fall on the same night as Affliction: Banned and UFC: Silva vs. Irvin. I’m going to have to make a tough decision. So remember doors open at 6:30 and the fights start at 8:00.
