New Hampshire DOME: Milford, NH

Cage Fighting Xtreme is following their sold-out inaugural show at the Worcester Palladium with a trip up north to the New Hampshire DOME in Milford, NH. If this is anything near what the 1st show was, you’ll want to get your tickets soon! We all know that fight cards can change dramatically (especially on the local scene) but as of today, here’s what the card looks like.

Jason Dublin (BTT/Rivera Boxing Club) takes on Fernando Rivera (EWKK) as each fighter looks to get back in the win column. Dublin has a record of 5-8 but take a look at his opponents, John Howard, Mike Campbell and Erik Charles  to name a few. Dublin may also have to deal with some “ring-rust” as he has not been in action since his loss to Charles on 12/02/06. Rivera has dropped 6 in a row and sports a record of 1-7, that being said, he’s not an opponent to take lightly. If I were a betting man.. I’d take Dublin in this one but it won’t be easy.

Justin Hammerstom (Burgess) looks to rebound from a TKO loss to Dany Lauzon. Hammerstrom (5-8) will certainly have an edge in experience as he sets to do battle with Ryan Hackney (1-1 BMAC) Hackney is coming off a decision loss to Chad Beane but showed some solid grappling in defeat. I look for this fight to go to the ground rather quickly, and as good a grappler as Hackney is, I give the edge in this match-up to Hammerstrom.

Lee Beane (2-0 USMMA) will have his work cut out for him if he wants to remain undefeated,  he takes on Jason Dolloff (3-8 Independent). Dolloff has dropped 6 in-a-row but is always a threat. Dolloff will have a size advantage but Beane has the advantage in wrestling and will look to take the “Large Angry Man” down and pound out a victory. I see Beane upping his record to 3-0.

Mike Zichelle (1-0 MMA Training Center) is coming off a big win at CFX 2 and will look to continue his winning ways against Kenny Hazard (0-1). Rick Hawn (Sityodtong) fresh off a KO victory at WCF will battle Robbie Roberts (Dragon Lair) who was defeated on the same night by Jay Fortier. Hawn, who is an Olympic Judo practitioner could be a rising star on the local scene, training at Sityodtong with Mark Dellegrotte will certainly not hurt. A battle of the big men pits Shawn Galano (Eclectic Karate) vs. Ken Avery (Valor). There’s been quite a buzz surrounding Avery but Galano is back after his debut victory over Ed Medeiros at CFX 1 and looks to improve his record to 2-0.

Here’s the rest of the card:

Mike Young (USMMA) vs. Ross Warriner (Tokyo Joe’s)

Mike Amoroso (Tokyo Joe’s) vs. Ryan Luttrell (USMMA)

Evan Parker (MMA Training) vs. Joe Faucher (Tengu)

Amateur:

Shawn Baker (Eclectic Karate) vs. Neil Woodworth (Independent)

Ben Gelb (MSA) vs. Ken Rooney (Independent)

Shawn Nichols (BMAC) vs. Lowell Zangry (Valor)

Dan Ford (Bujutsu) vs. Greg Jarvis (Battle Ground)

Jason Sarbacker (Team DMA) vs. Greg Sands (Wai Kru)
