WCF is putting together what is shaping up to be the fight card of the year. Making his return to the WCF will be WEC veteran Mike Campbell. Campbell, who ran up a record of 6-0 locally, dropped his first 2 bouts in the WEC. He makes his return against a very tough Mike Medrano (5-3) out of New Jersey. Medrano has won 4 of his last 5.

Dennis Olson will be coming off a loss at Bellator 11 (against David Branch at 185) to take on Ryan ‘The Lion’ Scheiding. This is a match-up of arguably two of the top welterweights in New England! Olsen had won 5 in a row before losing to Branch and Scheiding has only lost once in 6 bouts.

In what could be fight of the night. WCF veteran Dan Bonnell will return to the 145 lb division to take on Team Gillett’s Josh LaBerge. Bonnell is coming off a loss to Dan Ferrer, in a fight that was for the 135 title. LaBerge on the other hand won his last 2 bouts (in the span of 6 days). His last being at Bellator 2 against Chris Simmons. Bonnell will be looking to position himself as one of the top 145ers in the WCF, while LaBerge looks to make a statement in his WCF debut.

Saul Almeida is riding a 4 fight win streak, his last win coming against Dan O’Keefe at WCF 7 by way of “Peruvian Necktie”. Almeida will be taking on hard hitting Kevin Corrigan (2-0). Both of Corrigan’s wins have come by TKO.

These are the only fights announced so far but the rumors are flying about some even bigger match-ups!! We’ll keep you posted.
