Wilmington, MA
The WCF has announced the full card for WCF 8 and it looks to be one of the best of the year. Returning to the WCF will be Mike Campbell, who is coming off a 2 loss stint in the WEC. Campbell (6-2) will take on New Jerseys own Mike Medrano (5-3, Team Rhino). It will be interesting to see how Campbell responds after consecutive losses.
Other featured fights include fan favorite John Benoit (8-1,Renzo NH) vs. Hitalo Machado (4-3) out of American Top Team. After suffering his first loss (against Glenn Brown) Benoit rebounded with an impressive victory over Damien Trites. Hometown boy Dan Bonnell (6-5,Premier Fight Team) will be moving back up to his natural fight weight (145) to take on WCF newcomer Josh LaBerge (4-4, Team Gillett). LaBerge is coming off 2 impressive wins in the span of 6 days! The first against Frank Latina at USFL, the second at Bellator 4 against Chris Simmons. This could be fight-of-the-night!
What could be the main event on most cards pits Team Burgess fighter Ryan Scheiding (5-1) against Dennis Olsen (7-2, Gracie Barra NH). This should be a war between 2 of the top 170 lb fighters in New England.
